Question

Some songs are deeper than others. U2 has been a source of meaningful, sometimes penetrating, music. I fear, though, that I'm out of touch with who some of the newer voices might be. If you had the chance to say to a preacher--you really need to listen to this song (or these songs)--what songs would you recommend?

Pumpkin Carvers Create HAVOC !!

Yes, Sunday night, the FCC youth committed crimes against pumpkin. I know, it is shocking that good kids, from our youth group, would mutilate poor, innocent pumpkins. This picture shows the YOUNG pumpkins before set upon by these hooligans.

OOPS !! Wrong pumpkins...
THESE are the pumpkins awaiting a gruesome ending.

These are the hands of serial pumpkin mutilators....

AND, this is the FACE... be scared.....be very SCARED

SMILING...As they prepare to....

OMG !!! SHE STABBED
THE PUMPKIN !!
( Did I hear it SQUEAL ?? )

Time to remove the pumpkin BRAINS...

Women and sharp knives, time to be VERY POLITE !

Workin on the punkin head....
workin....
workin...

Finally, a juicy bowl of youth sponsor brains, OH, I mean PUMPKIN, I MEANT PUMPKIN! ( Now don't get upset, just a slip of the tongue )

The deed is done.

Oh Yeah !!

We have some people who have seriously sick minds, good thing they are in youth group, we will show them the way....

Sharp women, sharp knives, the results speak for themselves

More women with knives. I hope your insurance is paid up.

Pumpkin mutilation should be a crime.

What are we to do ??

3RD PLACE

2ND PLACE

Plastic Surgery will be required.

This is just WRONG !

1ST PLACE, HOORAY !!!

The product of the sick minds shown above...

PUMPKIN BOTOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cold !!....WET !!...But we had a GREAT TIME !!

Yes, 14 CYF types went to the Dallas Scaregrounds Haunted Houses, Sunday night. In the rain, wind, and cold. We were the first in line. The outdoor festival only had a few booths open. Inside however, the haunted houses were open and dry.

Dallas Scaregrounds lived up to it's rating. One of the best in the metroplex. Everyone had a GREAT time.

We did, however, have one casualty. The ladies had to sacrifice BLAKE to the GHOULS. Not to worry, the ladies made it out safely. To visit BLAKE, you can go to the Haunted House. Parts of BLAKE are on display, scattered throughout the house. Attached are a few pictures of our evening.

CYF.....LET ME HEAR YOU SCREAM !!!!!

Sunday, October 15th. CYF meet in the FCC parking lot at 5:00pm. We will head to Dallas. We will cruise the Sonic (or other fast food establishment) and eat dinner. Dallas Scaregrounds Haunted Houses opens at 7:30 pm. We will be able to get there and be at the front of the line when it opens. We will return to FCC by 10:00 pm.

Admission to park will be $13.00 (regular price is $16.00, but we have a $3.00 off coupon) This includes three haunted houses, one is in 3D complete with glasses.

Money for food around $6.00

There is also a festival area that has food, games, live music, etc. This is an additional $2.00 and optional.

Notice: Adults must be accompanied by a teenager. You are too whimpie to do a haunted house without a teen. If you do not have one of your own, one will be supplied by the youth department.

This Haunted Establishment was given 9 1/2 skulls by DFW Haunted Houses http://www.dfwhauntedhouses.com/modules.php?name=Jig and 9 1/2 ghosts by North Texas Haunts http://www.nightdancer.net/main_page_2005.htm. This is the real deal folks!! Fun and terror will be had by all. If your family likes to get it's scream on, then invite the whole crew for a night of memories and mayhem. These haunts are NOT recommended for small children.

We would like to have only adults drive, so if Mom or Dad are available let us know!!!

KICKOFF PARTY A HOOT !!

JYF, CHI RHO, CYF...Everyone had a blast, about 40 youth, and even a few adults joined in and acted like teenagers...(Yes, Scott, you were one and we have the pictures to prove it...) We only posted the pics that were suitable for publication, so if you thru a gutter ball, that pic was deleted. Oh yeah, no gross pictures of you guys eating the pizza.........

Some comments on the pictures.

1. That is NOT Sam learning how to drive her bug, it is a video game.

2. Adam, this is the newest in technology, it is called a CELL PHONE. Please ask a teenager how to make it work, ( you are too old to figure it out on your own)

3. Yes, Scott called in an expert to run the scoring machine.

Are you curious ? This is Blake after bowling a PERFECT game.
